Christchurch's Permanent Commemoration of the Coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II
For a map showing Druitt Hall, please use this
Google Maps
link. It will open into a new browser tab and directly place you on the "street view" showing the bus stops
in the High Street and the adjacent 'Druitt Approach' that lies between them, to the side of the library.
Follow Druitt Approach, between 27 High Street and Christchurch Library, for about 50 yards to find the hall
(the hall is visible from the High Street).
Although marked on the tarmac as 'Private Car Park', this is a right of way up to the hall and the lovely Druitt Gardens for pedestrians and for vehicles to deliver / collect from Druitt Hall.
Exit from this street view to the map itself to request directions from your location.
Parking is available nearby in the following:
ONE space in the library car park / Druitt Approach, the one nearest to the hall, has been allowed for our use, by kind
permission of Christchurch Library / BCP.
NOTE - The library parking area is designated for use by BCP contractors and visitors to the library building who have restricted mobility. Use of any other parking space and inconsiderate use of the access and turning area by hirers may result in loss of the one space that we can use.
PLEASE use all areas around the building with care and consideration for the pedestrians and cyclists passing through from the gardens and for the vehicles who need to use the turning-space!
Vehicular access for unloading is permitted.
Public Transport:
The High Street is well-served by Morebus routes: 1a, 1b, 1c, 24, 33, 125, X1 and X2
This may be important for both you and your visitors.
NOTE - the High Street is closed to traffic on most Mondays for the street market and at times of other events. Buses use the by-pass rather than High Street/Bridge Street on these occasions.
We found this visitor's guide to the gardens - lovely!
