Christchurch's Permanent Commemoration of the Coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II
The Christchurch Branch of Red Cross continued to use the hall as their HQ and Training Centre.
We would love to put names to these people!
Proposals were made in 1966 to use part of the gardens for a civic centre as part of a new town plan.
The plan below shows a bus and fire station.
A service road was proposed parallel with High Street, with the loss of both the Cornfactor building and Bank Close.
